We are looking for an experienced hands-on Assistant Controller to join our client's team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations and ensure the organization's financial processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting and possess strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities include:
+ Prepare and/or supervise month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded.
+ Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews to maintain accurate financial records.
+ Manage and oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
+ Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations and reporting.
+ Prepare and/or review financial statements, financial analysis and other ad hoc reporting as needed.
+ Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
+ Monitor and audit accounting functions to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
+ Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
+ Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
+ 5-7+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the construction industry.
+ Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
+ Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.), and general ledger processes.
+ Experience in the oversight of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR).
+ Excellent management and leadership skills to oversee team operations.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
