Compensation: $20-$25/hr

Status: Full-Time, W2 Employee

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM


About the Role

Each Volunteer Coordinator is an important part of the Ancora Home Health and Hospice team. Ancora specializes in providing care for hospice and home health patients in senior living communities or in the patient's home. The Volunteer Coordinator will maintain and coordinate the volunteer program for Hospice. If you are passionate about providing excellent care and are willing to challenge yourself daily to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families, we want YOU on our team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide training, supervision, and scheduling for all volunteers
  • Assign volunteers to service, based on program needs and volunteer interests and skills
  • Assess and monitor a record keeping system
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with volunteers
  • Recruit, interview, and select volunteers
  • Plan and conduct volunteer support meetings
  • Facilitate community awareness and support of Hospice volunteer programs
  • Act as liaison between volunteers and IDG members
  • Accept and perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • To thrive in the role of Volunteer Coordinator, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Ideally have experience in a volunteer, healthcare, or community organization
  • Experience relating to and working with a diverse population
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to relate well to staff and other professionals
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • Adaptive problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile
  • Proof of current automobile insurance 
  • Criminal background check clearance
  • Negative TB test
