Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is the participation in and oversight of the day-to-day operations and the customer experience in one or more banking centers. The Assistant Manager will oversee all Banking Center functions to ensure that an exceptional experience is provided to all customers and employees. Leading by example, they will coach, mentor and develop all banking center employees in their operational and sales performance under the leadership of the Banking Center Manager. The Assistant Manager will have the opportunity to shadow the Banking Center Manager, accompany them on outside calls and community development initiatives as part of their career growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ensure a high level of customer service throughout the banking center via all channels with both internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations in the banking center(s) while ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, all regulations are adhered to, and all compliance standards are met.
  • Lead by example in providing customers with clear information, providing problem resolution and guidance about their financial needs and goals, resulting in an exceptional customer experience.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop all banking center employees.
  • Oversee proper use of all technology, resources, and systems in place.
  • Be the go-to leader for problem resolution and advanced customer inquiries.
  • Perform all duties of other banking center positions as needed.
  • Assist the Banking Center Manager all efforts to achieve growth goals.
  • Continued development of outside sales and calling skills.
  • Prepare and deliver schedules to team(s) in a timely manner ensuring appropriate staffing for efficient banking center operations and customer service.
  • Compiles data, maintains records and prepares reports for other departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or associate degree and/or completion of a structured Management Development Program preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of prior banking and/or sales experience required.
  • Minimum of one year of previous supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage customers and employees to achieve goals.
  • Must have smartphone (iOS or Android) that is able to support security features required by the Bank's IT security guidelines
