Heavy Equipment Operator (Non‑DC Operator License) - Posting

Location: DMV & Eastern Shore

Pay: $33.26–$35.00/hour | Non‑Exempt

Job Overview

Anchor Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and other equipment on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment and excavate around utilities
• Read and follow plans and blueprints
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work as part of a crew to meet project and safety goals
• Comply with OSHA, state, and company safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators, backhoes, and skid steer loaders
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and perform heavy physical work
• Ability to follow instructions in English
• Willingness to work overtime and travel to various job sites
• Ability to obtain a DC Operator License (Class 7A, 7B, or Open 7) within six (6) months
• Ability to pass required physical exams, including DOT (if applicable)
