Hiring for a Commercial Property Manager! A growing national real estate services firm is expanding its presence in the Washington, DC area to support an established institutional client. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing organization with strong potential for long-term career advancement. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee a local portfolio of commercial assets. This role will require travel around the DMV so reliable transportation is a must. It will report directly to the Regional General Manager and work closely with internal teams to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and high tenant satisfaction across assigned properties.
Accounting & Financial Management
+ Oversee financial performance of assigned properties, including annual budgets, capital planning, and monthly/quarterly reporting
+ Review financial reports and provide executive-level summaries for client discussions
+ Monitor accounts receivable, partner with accounting teams, and provide client updates as needed
+ Review and approve monthly billing reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial operations
+ Ensure compliance with client-specific financial requirements and property management agreements
+ Interpret and abstract lease terms related to billing, operating expenses, and tenant obligations
Tenant Relations
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, ensuring timely and professional communication
+ Manage tenant onboarding and move-out processes in coordination with internal teams
+ Conduct regular tenant check-ins to assess satisfaction and address concerns
+ Support leasing efforts by providing property-level insights and information
Operations Management
+ Oversee day-to-day operations across all assigned properties
+ Lead regular client meetings to review operational, financial, and tenant performance
+ Manage third-party vendors, ensuring service quality, contract compliance, and proper insurance coverage
+ Partner with construction teams on tenant improvements and capital projects
+ Conduct routine property inspections and proactively recommend repairs and improvements
+ Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure alignment with approved scope
Requirements
+ 5+ years of commercial property management experience
+ Must have reliable transportation and must be able to travel around the DMV to 3 different properties
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ Strong financial and operational management skills
+ Proven leadership ability and team-oriented mindset
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and property management/accounting systems (e.g., Yardi or similar)
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, tenants, and internal teams
