Job Description
Job Title Lead HR Trainer Position Overview Shaw Industries is searching for a Lead Trainer to provide leadership, guidance, coaching, support and development opportunities for Facilitators, Certified OJT's, and the facility's Plant Hourly Workforce. In addition, this role will ensure all training is coordinated, scheduled, facilitated, and documented in accordance with internal and external program requirements. Responsibilities: + Drive and support business results and continuous improvement through the training and development of our associates. + Lead the Training Department staff in various work responsibilities, assignments, and tasks, serving as "Backup Facilitator" when needed. + Assist the Training Manager in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating (ADDIE model) training content. + Assist and support the Job Analysis process within the facility. + Learn and apply the Adult Learning Theory. + Maintain and facilitate all aspects of the Certified OJT Program, including but not limited to Train-the-Trainer classes and Training Council Meetings. + Act as a liaison between Management, shift supervisors, OJTs, HR, and Training. + Serve as Records Retention Champion by maintaining appropriate training records for the facility in order to provide a historical database and in preparation for internal/external audits. + Act as the facility's LMS administrator. + Represent the training department and attend facility and company meetings as needed. + Maintain working knowledge of the SAFE Handbook and its annual updates to program topics and update SAFE Presentation content for annual training. + Collect, update and maintain Human Resources and Training metrics and KPIs. + Coordinate, schedule and communicate all annual training classes (SAFE, SLA, personal/professional development, etc.) Requirements: + Knowledge of training methods, theories, and applications + Microsoft Office / Google Applications proficiency + Excellent communication/facilitation skills + Previous training experience + Ability to work off-shift as needed Preferred Skills: + Associate's Degree + Previous manufacturing experience + Bilingual (English & Spanish) + 2-3 years leadership experience (Facilitator, Relief Supervisor, etc) Competencies: + Manage Work + Communicate Effectively + Build Customer Satisfaction + Initiate Action + Learn & Apply Work Shift 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
