OrrVilla Retirement Community, a single-site faith-based community, seeks a trustworthy, seasoned accountant who understands the value of a supportive culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform or manage all aspects of the accounting, finance, and payroll functions, maintain accurate financial records, and communicate essential financial information to management for both OrrVilla, Inc. and OrrVilla Manor I Incorporated.
- Prepare annual budgets in coordination with the Executive Director
- Prepare requested schedules and documentation for annual reviews performed by external CPA firm and review resulting draft financial statements and Forms 990
- Prepare financial forecasts, projections, and other ad hoc reporting upon request
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, journal entries, and financial statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and QuickBooks Online
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge/ability to work with external CPA firm for annual reviews
Education/Experience:
- Five to seven years of accounting or finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
