A growing nonprofit is looking for a Marketing & Community Engagement Assistant to join their team on a contract basis in Boise, Idaho. This role focuses on supporting a nonprofit organization with event coordination, marketing outreach, and community engagement efforts. You will play a key part in organizing a large-scale annual volunteer event and ensuring effective communication with residents and stakeholders.

Contract Type: Short Term Contract
Duration: ASAP thru June 27th
Schedule & Hours: 32 Hours a week (Tuesday-Friday) + Saturday June 14th
Location: Onsite in Boise, ID
Pay range: $15-18/hour
Onboarding Requirements: Background Check
Responsibilities:
+ Support coordination and logistics for event including communication with volunteers, tracking supplies, and partner engagement
+ Track items using Excel, assist to create and maintain basic spreadsheets
+ Send out communications via email, respond to other email inquiries
+ Design and schedule social media content with tools such as Canva
+ Track and report volunteer participation and metrics during the 6 week period
+ Assist with misc. marketing and communication needs related to resident services and outreach projects
+ Serve as a point of contact for communicate engagement and marketing related projects
+ Atten relevant meetings and events as needed
+ Help out with event doracations, prepare goody bags
+ Answer phone ac lls and serve the needs of callers
Requirements
The ideal candidate with be a natural self starter who can work independently and solve minor issues as they arise. Other requirements of this position include:
- Proven experience in event or volunteer coordination and/or community outreach.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Understanding of nonprofit or community-based organizations is preferred.
- Experience using a creative application such as Canva or other Adobe products to create marketing or social media content is a plus
