The Block in St. Louis Park is now hiring a Part-Time Server!

We're looking for an energetic and service-focused individual to join our team - with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role by training as a floor supervisor. This position is ideal for someone who wants to develop their skills while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role primarily involves serving tables, with the added opportunity to build leadership experience by assisting with floor coverage during supervisory shifts. We're seeking a dynamic candidate who aligns with our core values and is passionate about fostering a positive, team-driven culture for both our guests and crew. The ideal candidate would have bartending experience to better assist in the operations of the restaurant.

This position is responsible for ensuring profitable restaurant operations while overseeing the front-of-house staff in their department. Primary functions of this role are overseeing floor shifts, completing daily money management tasks, coaching, and developing of hourly staff.

This is an entry level supervisory position with opportunities for advancement. At Craft & Crew we aim to provide an excellent level of service and quality product for all our guests. We have a hands-on leadership approach and reward hard work and dedication with opportunities for advancement and growth within the company. This position would allow for you to primarily work on the floor as a Server to reach up to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily profitable operations of the restaurant during your assigned shifts;
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to all staff during the shift;
  • Ensure that quality standards for food and service are consistently met;
  • Handle any customer complaints/issues according to company procedures;
  • Must be willing/able to assist in any area of the restaurant, and therefore must be proficient in Host, Expo, Server and Bar positions.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • 5 Years in the Hospitality Industry (Serving, Bartending or Management experience preferred);
  • Excellent Communication Skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Leadership Skills;
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move about for 8-10 hour shifts;
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs;
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs without complications
  • Problem solving abilities, be prepared to think and act quickly in stressful situations;
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in accordance with MDH. Serve Safe Certification a plus.
