**Introduction** You will ensure that IBM imports and exports are executed in compliance with local country and US regulations. **Your role and responsibilities** Responsible Trade Compliance processes such as customs classification, compliance testing and validation, record retention, reporting, maintenance of Shipping Instructions. Collaborates with US Customs as well as other external regulatory bodies. You will interlock with CHQ functions such as Import Regulations Office, Business controls, Corporate Tax, Corporate Audit, Export Regulations Office, Supply Chain, and Procurement Maintenance of Internal Control Program, Audit Programs, Corporate Instructions You will support Procurement with Logistics Supplier service contracting (definition of statement of work, supplier interviews, supplier selection) Work with regional control towers to achieve commonality and harmonization of tools and process, as far as local rules allow You will ensure that IBM imports and exports are executed in compliance with local country and US regulations. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Ability to understand and handle complex, multi-country, regulatory requirements and associated risks. * Office Based - Min 3 days per week * US Customs Brokers License or Equivalent * Strong negotiation skills and endurance towards Suppliers and internal clients * Expert knowldedge of supply chain and logistics processes * Ability to work in a diverse environment (language, culture, behaviors etc) * Ability to analyze and resolve problems * Project management Skills * Customs regulations **Preferred technical and professional experience** * US Customs Brokers License or Equivalent IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
