**Job Title: Machining Tech - 1st Shift** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Machining Tech to set up and operate various machines in both secondary and primary operations across all manufacturing departments. This role involves loading machines with raw parts, unloading finished parts, deburring, grinding, and conducting visual inspections. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate standard and specialized machines. + Assist in machine setup according to work order and standard procedures. + Learn setup and operation of new machines added to assigned departments. + Check parts using standard gauges or precision measuring instruments. + Submit parts for inspection as required. + Operate machines to ensure proper functioning. + Release machines to operators and instruct them on procedures to produce parts according to specifications. + Perform SPC charting as required. + Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness in the work area daily. **Essential Skills** + Experience in machine operating and inspection. + Proficiency in deburring and machine operation. + Ability to use measurement tools effectively. + Familiarity with production processes and machine operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to assist in machine setup and operation. + Willingness to learn the setup and operation of new machines. + Capability to check parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments. + Experience with SPC charting. **Why Work Here** This position offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401k matching program, and paid holidays and vacation. **Work Environment** The work environment is a machine manufacturing shop operating on a 1st shift schedule from 4am to 12:30pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
