**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join a specialized manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Operator, where you will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality hydraulic system components. You will work with metals, interpret blueprints, and perform basic quality checks in a clean, climate-controlled facility with a close-knit, small-shop atmosphere. **Responsibilities** + Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes for production of metal components. + Calibrate CNC machines for each specific product job run to ensure accurate and consistent output. + Load and unload metal parts into CNC machines safely and efficiently. + Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and verify part specifications. + Inspect and prepare material for the next operation to maintain smooth production flow. + Assist with basic quality control inspections using tools such as calipers and micrometers. + Change programs and confirm the tool list for each job to match production specifications. + Perform dry runs of parts to confirm tool selection, program accuracy, and machine setup before full production. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping daily or weekly as required. + Participate in cross-training opportunities in other departments as needed to support production demands. + Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices while working with CNC equipment and metals. **Essential Skills** + Hands-on experience in CNC or machine operation with metals. + Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in a production environment. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for machining operations. + Basic knowledge of CNC programs, including changing programs and confirming tool lists. + Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on CNC machines. + Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Desire to grow from basic machine operation to independently setting up jobs. + Willingness to assist with basic quality control tasks and material preparation. + Flexibility to cross-train in other departments to support overall production. + Reliability to work a consistent first-shift schedule with potential overtime. + Strong work ethic and willingness to maintain a clean and orderly work area. **Why Work Here?** You will work in a climate-controlled facility that offers a smaller, close-knit, mom-and-pop shop feel where your contributions are visible and valued. You are expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, including regular sweeping and mopping around your station. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DALLAS, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
