Description Robert Half is Seeking a Staff Accountant for an Opportunity in the Detroit Metro Area! We're looking to place an experienced Staff Accountant on a permanent placement basis for one of our valued clients-a public accounting firm serving diverse industries. If you have a background in public accounting and want to grow your career by managing financial accounting and tax engagements for a variety of clients, this role is a great fit. You'll gain hands-on experience across industries like healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality-all while working in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: + Manage all phases of financial accounting and tax engagements with precision Prepare compilations, reviews, and financial statements efficiently Handle corporate, partnership, and personal tax assignments + Collaborate directly with clients to deliver customized accounting and tax solutions + Generate monthly and annual financial statements and reports + Post entries and adjustments to the general ledger accurately + Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy + Assist with corporate and individual tax preparation processes + Work closely with team members at all levels to encourage professional growth + Serve clients across a variety of industries, broadening your experience Requirements - 2-5 years of experience in accounting or tax, preferably within public accounting. - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a Master's degree in accounting or taxation. - Proficiency with Accounting CS and UltraTax software is essential. - Familiarity with TaxDome practice management software and QuickBooks is required. - Strong skills in financial report writing and balance sheet analysis. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. - Certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred but not mandatory.
