**If interested and you meet the qualifications, please apply directly or text Mike Dominguez at 562 566 4712** **Job Title: HVAC/R Lead Technician** **Job Description** The HVAC/R Lead Technician provides advanced technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on support in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing HVAC and refrigeration systems across the facility. This role ensures all mechanical, refrigeration, and building control systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The Lead Technician guides junior technicians, coordinates daily tasks, and ensures high-quality execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. **Responsibilities** + Lead and perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, including ACUs, AHUs, VAVs, heat pumps, hot water heating systems, and ventilation equipment. + Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize Building Automation/Management Systems (BAS/BMS), including DDC controls and system integration. + Maintain, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems, including kitchen refrigeration, walk-ins, production chillers, and low-temperature equipment. + Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, and associated mechanical equipment. + Manage closed-loop water systems, including chemical treatment, flow balancing, and system performance monitoring. + Ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant management programs, including leak detection, recovery, documentation, and reporting. + Conduct daily system assessments, rounds, and performance analysis to ensure proper equipment operation. + Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. + Maintain accurate documentation, service records, and CMMS work orders. + Support and train HVAC/R technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. + Follow established change-control processes for qualified equipment, components, and system modifications. + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all OSHA, company, and safety requirements. **Essential Skills** + Advanced HVAC System Diagnostics & Repair - ACUs, AHUs, VAVs, heat pumps, hot water heating, ventilation systems. + Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) - operation, troubleshooting, calibration, and controls optimization. + Refrigeration Systems Maintenance - kitchen refrigeration, production chillers, walk-ins, and low-temp equipment. + Boiler & Chiller Operations - monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions. + Closed Loop Water System Management - chemical treatment, flow balancing, and system performance monitoring. + EPA Refrigerant Compliance - leak detection, documentation, recovery, and loss-management program adherence. + Preventive & Predictive Maintenance - daily rounds, system assessments, data analysis, and trend monitoring. + Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting - motors, pumps, fans, controls, sensors, and safety devices. + Technical Documentation & Work Order Management - CMMS usage, change control processes, and equipment records. + Safety & Compliance - OSHA standards, lockout/tagout, safe work practices, and maintaining clean work environments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Extensive experience in commercial or industrial HVAC/R maintenance and repair. + Strong knowledge of BAS/BMS systems, DDC controls, and system diagnostics. + Proficiency with refrigeration systems, chillers, boilers, and mechanical equipment. + EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred). + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. + Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. + Ability to perform data analysis, system trending, and root-cause troubleshooting. + Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. + Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or large commercial facility. + Familiarity with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance workflows. + Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and system optimization strategies. **Why Work Here?** Join a team committed to continuous improvement and excellence in facility maintenance. The environment is supportive, with access to advanced technologies and equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paris, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45.92 - $57.40/hr.
