**A Brief Overview**
Responsible to develop and implement workforce plans and strategies to generate and maintain an adequate workforce pipeline across the Avera system to ensure its healthcare ministry into the future. The Career Development Consultant will work with Avera employees to assist with building career paths to their desired career goals thru the Avera Career Planning Service. Through the Career Planning Service, this Consultant will assist students, interns and the public to identify a career path and resources needed to begin a healthcare career with Avera. The Career Development Consultant will also serve as additional support for career fairs, high school presentations, and college/university student presentations intended to build Avera's pipeline.
**What you will do**
+ Create and communicate career pathways to retain and advance employees within Avera.
+ Actively promotes and administers the Avera Career Planning Service ensuring timely customer service.
+ Ongoing reassessment of the Career Planning Service in regard to process, marketing materials and measurable results.
+ Maintains accurate database for sourcing appropriate candidates to meet Avera's workforce needs.
+ Serves as a resource throughout Avera for workforce and career development needs/opportunities including scholarships, tuition reimbursement, state and federal funding sources, academic programs, etc.
+ Consults, develops and implements workforce plans and strategies for challenging workforce needs.
+ Works in coordination with system Talent Management directors, Vice President of Talent and Total Rewards, and leaders across the Avera system to develop appropriate actions and response to workforce demands.
+ Researches, understands and analyzes competitive workforce data and trends and recommends innovative strategies to support strategic workforce initiatives. Develops, maintains and communicates a broad understanding of the external market and how it may influence workforce strategies.
+ Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify workforce resources. Supports and participates in career events such as job fairs to strengthen recruitment efforts in the community. Researches, organizes and conducts training programs, seminars, and special programs such as Internships as directed. Develops and delivers healthcare presentations to educational institutions within the Avera service area.
+ Oversees development of workforce materials in collaboration with Avera Marketing.
**Essential Qualifications**

**Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Bachelor's
**Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Master's in Social Work, School Counseling, Healthcare Administration or related field.
+ Three years of experience in Human Resources, Education or healthcare field
