Sales Manager


Job Summary

This position manages the sales team and serves in a sales role. This position requires the development of sales strategies and attract new broker partnerships in assigned territory, assigned agencies, and for the sales team. Will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. Will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with brokers, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services offered. Will also be responsible for researching competition. Updating CRM often and keeping records accurate is required. Preparing reports monthly and completing quarterly sales audit to calculate the incentive compensation due for the sales team.

Duties

  1. Manage sales team to ensure they are meeting quota
  2. Prepare monthly sales reports
  3. Complete quarterly sales audit and calculate incentive compensation due for each salesperson
  4. "Get the sale" using various customer sales methods (cold calling, presentations, etc.)
  5. Forecast sales, develop "out of the box" sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  6. Evaluate brokers skills, needs, and build productive long-lasting relationships
  7. Meet personal and team sales targets
  8. Send handwritten thank you notes
  9. Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  10. Attending meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the latest developments and provide feedback/updates on progress being made
  11. Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory, including updating CRM regularly with updates/progress of each prospect
  12. Will meet with brokers/prospects/clients from time to time
  13. Prepare broker kits/packets as needed for meetings
  14. Follow all Medcom policies as they relate to privacy and security
  15. Overtime as needed
  16. Other duties as assigned by management
