We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bobst Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe setup, operation, and maintenance of Bobst die-cutting. This role ensures the production of high-quality finished products in accordance with job specifications, safety standards, and production schedules, requiring a combination of technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for the printing industry. Min of 5 years Bobst Experience. Hours will be from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup:

  • Read and interpret job orders, die lines, and specifications to determine machine settings, material requirements, and production parameters.
  • Select, install, and adjust dies, stripping, and blanking tools accurately.
  • Set up feeder and delivery sections, ensuring proper alignment and material flow.
  • Perform necessary machine adjustments (e.g., pressure, registration, speed) to optimize performance and product quality.

Machine Operation:

  • Operate Bobst machinery safely and efficiently to produce finished products (e.g., displays, labels) according to quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance, product output, and material flow throughout the production run.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common operational issues or malfunctions, making real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain consistent production speed and quality, minimizing waste and downtime.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular quality checks on materials being processed and finished products to ensure they meet specifications, including checking for proper cutting, creasing, stripping, and alignment.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming products or materials.
  • Complete required quality control documentation and production logs accurately.

Maintenance & Housekeeping:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of the Bobst machine.
  • Assist with minor repairs and escalate complex mechanical issues to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the machine.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
  • Operate equipment in a manner that ensures personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Team Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and other production team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
  • May assist in training less experienced operators or machine helpers.



Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in graphic arts, printing technology, or related field preferred.

Min 5 years Bobst experience

Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for color and design.

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively and efficiently.

Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Hours will be from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM







Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to noise from printing equipment and other machinery.
  • Job is subject to interruptions and is involved with all departments.
