**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring an experienced Lineman to join our facilities team at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. As a Lineman you will have the following responsibilities: + Maintain, repair, replace, and inspect electric power transmission, distribution lines and communication lines. + Perform all phases of power line maintenance with a minimum degree of supervision. + Install, replace, repair or otherwise maintain transformers, switches, protective devices and other auxiliary equipment. + Test lines and component parts using various test instruments. + String wires; climb poles or work from aerial lifts or temporary structures. + May be required to dig holes, clear right-of-way, or perform other duties incident to line maintenance. + Perform routine general electrical maintenance as assigned. + Perform Root Cause Analysis/5 Why on significant mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures. + Perform equipment PMs per written specifications and recommend changes to PM job plans based on Root Cause Analysis performed and manufacturer recommendations. -Minimum of 5 years of electrical line experience and maintenance of power distribution systems up to 69kv, or lineman certification. -Knowledge of High Voltage Terminations -Trained to perform ho work on energized lines. -Use of a computer and basic software applications. -Have and maintain a valid state driver s license. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High school diploma / GED and 5 or more years of electrical line experience and maintenance of power distribution systems up to 69kv, or lineman certification + Knowledge of High Voltage Terminations + Trained to perform hot work on energized lines + Ability to use a computer and basic software applications + Ability to have and maintain a valid state driver s license **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + CDL license + Familiar with digger truck operation + Previous OSHA 30-hour certification + Experience trouble-shooting distribution systems + Understanding of switching to isolate power **Pay Information** This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
