**Job Title: Driller Apprentice**
**Job Description**
This role involves field support for the drill operator. The technician will assist with moving and attaching augers and handling soil sampling. Duties also include performing preventative maintenance to ensure the drill rig remains operational.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist the driller with moving and attaching augers.
+ Handle soil sampling tasks.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on drill rigs.
+ Support the drill operator in field operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in construction or environmental work.
+ Ability to lift over 75 pounds.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Willingness to travel and stay overnight 2-4 times per week.
+ Previous drilling experience is preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with environmental and construction materials testing.

**Work Environment**
The position requires working outdoors on job sites alongside clients and subcontractors. Awareness of surroundings is crucial due to the presence of concrete trucks. Current projects include work on the last stretch of I-69 and other road work throughout Indiana. The dress code includes boots, jeans without holes, and shirts with sleeves.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
