Job Title: Test Engineer (2nd) Job Description As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will engage in troubleshooting control wires and data infrastructure, specifically focusing on Large Form Assembly Systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting hardware will play a crucial role in resolving ongoing failure trends through data gathering and analysis. Responsibilities + Contribute to the development of Design of Experiments (DOE) and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends. + Perform detailed analysis on test quality of the assigned product, identify trends, and lead corrective actions. + Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot and solve problems related to low-voltage switchgear. + Collaborate with internal engineers and customers on testing processes, ensuring excellence in design and testability. + Troubleshoot and maintain proprietary automated test rigs and related processes. + Address and resolve product failures, including wiring and sensor issues, through root cause analysis and corrective actions. + Solve random failures by analyzing test logs, software, physical measurements, and visual identification. + Document testing instructions and build test rigs. + Understand and modify test scripts as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in debugging software and performing root cause analysis. + Experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing-related industry. + Ability to read and interpret schematics for low-voltage switchgear. + Experience with Siemens PLCs and reading S7 code. + Basic coding knowledge. + Electrical experience with 3-phase AC (up to 480v) and control voltage (24vDC). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or 6+ years of experience in lieu. + 5 years of experience in electrical engineering. + Knowledge in DFX (Design for Excellence) and DFT (Design for Testability). Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.38 - $40.38/hr.
