Responsibilities

  • Install guitar bindings with precision and care to quality specifications
  • Collaborate with our team members to ensure design specifications are met
  • Inspect bindings for quality and consistency throughout the installation process
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Replace or repair bindings as needed to uphold production standards
  • Potentially train new team members on binding installation techniques and best practices

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work with various types of wood and binding materials
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity, performing this job would require using small hand-held type tools (saws, chisels, files, x-acto knife, etc.) and binding cement/glue material.
  • Each operator is also responsible for sharpening their own chisels, following daily production schedule and monitoring/reporting inventory needs to the Department Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and processes related to guitar binding
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in binding installation

 

Work Hours: 

2nd shift – 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

 

Production demands may necessitate overtime Monday through Thursday.
