**Job Title: Electrician (Mid Day Shift)** **Job Description** This role focuses on establishing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment within production areas. You will ensure machinery and equipment operate at peak performance, provide technical support on electrical and mechanical issues, and perform both troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial systems. **Responsibilities** + Establish and maintain all manufacturing equipment within production areas to ensure reliable and efficient operation. + Maintain machinery and equipment in optimum working condition through regular inspections, adjustments, and repairs. + Provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic issues. + Recommend equipment replacement when necessary based on condition, performance, and reliability. + Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on production and utility equipment to minimize downtime. + Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components on various types of manufacturing equipment, including variable speed motors, VFDs, Micromaster drives, encoders, contactors, relays, and related software programs. + Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems involving control wiring and circuit boards, using appropriate electrical measurement devices and mechanical tools. + Read and interpret equipment operation manuals, parts manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and related technical documentation. + Perform computer-based tasks related to maintenance work, such as documenting repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status. + Carry out day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and high voltage (single and three-phase) industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment. + Install, wire, and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, and safety circuits. + Lay out electrical circuits, install fixtures, and bend and run conduit to support equipment installations and modifications. + Install motors and other electrical devices and components in accordance with safety and electrical standards. + Perform mechanical work such as valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor and gearbox replacement, and lubrication routes for electrical and mechanical components. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience working as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment. + Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting in an industrial setting. + Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with mechanical repairs and component replacement. + Ability to perform mechanical work such as valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, and motor/gearbox replacement. + Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing electrical components such as variable speed motors, VFDs, Micromaster drives, encoders, contactors, relays, and related control devices. + Ability to troubleshoot low and high voltage (single and three-phase) industrial electromechanical and control systems. + Skill in installing, wiring, and maintaining relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, and safety circuits. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment operation manuals, and parts manuals. + Competence in electrical problem-solving with control wiring and board-level repairs. + Ability to use electrical measurement devices and mechanical tools safely and effectively. + Capability to perform computer-based tasks related to maintenance, such as documentation and basic software interaction. + Must provide and use own basic hand tools required for the role. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working specifically in an industrial manufacturing environment. + Background with industrial systems such as chillers and other production support equipment. + Familiarity with Micromaster drives and variable frequency drive (VFD) technologies. + Experience with electrical lube routes and routine maintenance practices for electromechanical systems. + Comfort working with low voltage systems and control wiring in a production environment. + Ability to bend and run conduit and install electrical fixtures to support equipment layout changes. + Experience reading and working from detailed blueprints and electrical schematics. + Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment issues. **Why Work Here?** You will join a manufacturing operation where your technical expertise directly supports production reliability and continuous improvement. Expect a practical, hands-on setting where appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment are important for safety and comfort during the mid-day shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
