Requirement: SAF/IA Security Cooperation Program Analyst
Job Description: Forge will be hiring a Security Cooperation Program Management Analyst to support the Secretary of the Air Force International Affairs (SAF/IA) - this is for a future opportunity (anticipated in September 2025). SAF/IA's mission is to advance US national security by cultivating deep, enduring relationships through security cooperation with our Allies and Partners in support of US Air Force and US Space Force global operations. The selected candidate will support SAF/IA in providing international airmen program management support.
Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):
Directly responsible for managing all the Security Cooperation Officer (SCO) positions at US Embassies globally; oversees the selection, training, and mobilization of these positions on behalf of SAF/IA.
Complete bi-annual review of position openings in accordance with Air Force assignment cycles and diligently review all candidates available to recommend the most qualified candidate to Division Leadership.
Serve as the division's direct coordinator with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) to meet training and qualification requirement courses in SCO pre-deployment tasks.
Review the SCO Spend plan on behalf of the Division to track travel expenses for SCO training and reconcile estimates with the expended funds.
Review SCO Positions Data Roster and reconcile with the Universal Manning Document to ensure all position and personnel data is accurate.
Serve as the direct coordinator with the Chief of C-12 Air Ops and Training at Air Force Material Command to schedule training for all SCO Pilots as required.
Manage the Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) course enrollment with the State Department's Diplomatic Security for all SCOs.
Assist with the performance of International Airmen management functions and outreach.
Assist in the review and development of policy and publications that provide guidance on how the Air Force will select and train International Airmen, including but not limited to Security Cooperation personnel.
Assist the Government with Career Field Management functions, including but not limited to: Development Team meetings/webinars, FAO Screening and Selection Board, Command Screening Board, and Promotion Board.
Respond to general International Airmen development, funding, support, and metric issues as required.
Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and update the International Affairs Specialist (IAS) personnel database.
Assist with general IAS branch analytic tasks by gathering and analyzing data, and making relevant suggestions, which includes usage of applicable software, such as Microsoft Power BI, to create and maintain interactive data visualization reports based on various program and personnel data points.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
We are looking for candidates with an active DoD SECRET clearance and 3+ years of Security Cooperation experience.
