Job Description
Description We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing communication strategies that enhance our organization's visibility and engagement. Responsibilities: - Develop and manage engaging content for digital platforms, including websites, email campaigns, and social media channels. - Update and maintain the organization's website to ensure accuracy and relevance of content. - Implement and oversee social media strategies to grow online presence, boost engagement, and promote key initiatives. - Assist in crafting press releases, public statements, and other official communications tailored to targeted audiences. - Monitor and analyze performance metrics for digital campaigns, social media engagement, and website traffic to guide future strategies. - Coordinate the creation and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, event programs, and digital assets. - Maintain and share a comprehensive master calendar of organizational events, programs, and activities. - Support major events by creating promotional content, managing event listings, and assisting with on-site logistics. - Collaborate with team members to ensure all communications align with brand standards and organizational goals. - Provide hands-on support for strategic communication initiatives to foster member engagement and public outreach. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field. - At least 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or content creation roles. - Proven ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver high-quality written content. - Demonstrated expertise in managing social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X). - Hands-on experience with email marketing campaigns and digital communication tools. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Familiarity with analytics tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts. - A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for collaboration and innovation.
