Job Description
AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid summer internships to students enrolled in full time undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
The AmeriHealth Caritas Summer Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to gain meaningful professional experience while learning about the healthcare industry and the work we do to improve access to care and support healthier communities.
Interns will work closely with a designated manager and mentor to contribute to real team initiatives and complete a defined project aligned with departmental priorities. Throughout the program, interns will collaborate with team members, develop professional skills, and gain exposure to the operations and strategy behind managed care, healthcare delivery, and community impact.
At the conclusion of the internship, interns may present their work and key learnings to leaders and peers.

**Candidates should meet the following criteria:**
+ Currently enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program
+ Completion of at least one year of college coursework by the start of the internship
+ Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
+ Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
+ Ability to work onsite, 3 days per week
**Preferred majors may include, but are not limited to:**
+ Nursing
+ Physical Therapy
+ Sports Medicine
+ Pre-Med student
+ Or, related disciplines
The intern will assist the team with a project to implement DME specialty team. Key responsibilities: researching regulatory requirements by line of business, claims edits, and coding of DME and utilizing the information to drive process improvement.
