The Interventional Radiology Team at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team. The IR service provides care to both inpatient and ambulatory patients. Patient population includes adult patients with varying acuity from acute trauma and illness to chronic illnesses, as well as ambulatory patients undergoing elective interventions. Common procedures that our interventionists perform include endovascular intervention for peripheral arterial disease, deep and superficial venous insufficiency, cancer directed therapy, prostate artery embolization, uterine artery embolization and hemodialysis access interventions. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to perform select procedures including central venous device insertions, thora/paracentesis and image-guided biopsy.
As an APP on our team, you will be responsible for the assessment and evaluation of all outpatient new visits and follow up appointments, as well as consults and rounding on inpatients. You are considered an integral member of care coordination including triage of patients and consults working in collaboration with the interventionists, providers, nursing and other members of the care team.
As a provider, you will be committed to delivering high quality and safe patient care. You will have the ability to coordinate multiple aspects of the patient's care at a high level of independence.
Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts per week, all day shift; no nights, weekend or holidays.
Credentials:
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
+ BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting) required
+ Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Masters Physician Assistant required
+ Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Pennsylvania State license, active and in good standing at time of hire
+ Prescriptive Authority (Required)
+ Registered Nurse - PA (Required if Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ Master of Arts or Science (Required)
+ The CRNP and/or PA-C must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
+ Education Specialization: Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing or Masters Prepared Physician Assistant
+ Minimum 2 years of experience strongly preferred.
