Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in La Quinta, California. In this part-time role, you will oversee essential financial processes such as managing accounts payable and receivable, addressing inquiries related to membership fees, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
- Oversee accounts receivable tasks, such as preparing and distributing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue balances.
- Respond to inquiries from members regarding fees, billing, and payment issues with professionalism and clarity.
- Maintain accurate financial records through precise data entry and effective record-keeping practices.
- Reconcile monthly financial statements and assist in preparing reports for management.
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental objectives and improve workflows.
- Perform administrative duties related to accounting, including organizing files and updating records.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures during all accounting processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, for handling member and vendor inquiries.
- Ability to work independently while following directions and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, with familiarity in a country club setting considered a plus.
