What You'll Do:
As a CNC Machine Operator you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards our clients expect. Your responsibilities will include:
•Setting up and operating turning machines (Okuma) to produce precision components.
•Reading and interpreting blueprints, stage drawings, and job orders to meet exact specifications.
•Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessment methods (RAMs), and Health & Safety rules.
•Handling workpieces with care, using hoists and other equipment for loading and unloading.
•Monitoring machine operations to ensure components meet top-quality standards.
•Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments like height stands, micrometers, and calipers.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
•Proven experience with CNC lathes, specifically Fanuc or OSP controls.
•A minimum of 2 years setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts of high tolerance.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
•A strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
•The ability to read blueprints and use precise measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
•Experience with hand tools and equipment commonly used in machining operations.
Physical Requirements:
This is an active, hands-on role that requires:
•Standing, walking, and handling tools for the length of an 8-hour shift.
•Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds as needed.
•Good vision (close, distance, and color) and manual dexterity for precise tasks.
