Core Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated equipment such as mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, and packaging machines
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics)
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Support automation systems (working alongside electrical/PLC technicians)
• Install and commission new machinery or production lines
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
• Minimize production stoppages in a high-volume, continuous operation

Qualifications (Typical)

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Maintenance
• Experience in food manufacturing or automated production environments (preferred)
• Knowledge of food-grade materials and lubrication
• Willingness to work shifts or on-call
