Position Summary

The IT Support Specialist II supports and maintains core technology systems for Investco and its affiliated companies. This hybrid Tier 1-2 role handles both frontline user support and back-end system administration tasks. The technician will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, assist with onboarding/offboarding, deploy and manage devices, and support infrastructure projects including patching, monitoring, and basic networking.

This position is ideal for a well-rounded IT generalist with hands-on experience in both user-facing support and foundational system administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and in person.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral hardware.
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, system provisioning, and access management.
  • Deploy and manage endpoint systems using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Assist in administering Active Directory, Exchange, and other enterprise applications.
  • Support patch management, antivirus updates, and system hardening procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure rollouts, upgrades, and on-site setup at remote locations.
  • Follow IT policies and procedures, contributing to documentation and improvement efforts.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects related to security, networking, and cloud services.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of combined experience in IT support and system administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with device imaging, endpoint management, and ticketing systems.
  • Customer-first attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record; travel up to 100 miles per week may be required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Candidate must pass a background check and/or drug screening upon offer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online, Azure AD, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles or frameworks (NIST, CIS).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.

Schedule and Location: This position will be located onsite in Sumner, Washington with normal working hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday (remote work not available).
