Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in general ledger management, month-end processes, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities: - Manage month-end close procedures, including preparing and reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy. - Oversee general ledger activities, maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records. - Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. - Apply accrual accounting principles to ensure compliance with GAAP standards. - Review and analyze financial data to identify and address inconsistencies or errors. - Prepare and post month-end journal entries to support accurate financial reporting. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of month-end close activities. - Maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes and procedures. - Assist in audits by providing necessary reports and reconciliations. - Develop and implement strategies to improve accounting processes and efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close procedures and journal entry preparation. - Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting. - Proficiency in GAAP and accrual accounting principles. - Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy. - Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. - Strong organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines. - Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
