Description We are looking for a skilled Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting financial due diligence processes, assisting with valuation models, and preparing pro forma projections for combined businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical aspects of M& A activities in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed financial due diligence to assess acquisition opportunities. - Prepare and analyze valuation models to support decision-making processes. - Develop pro forma projections for combined business operations. - Summarize and present financial data in clear, actionable reports. - Assist in the preparation of consolidated balance sheets and ledger accounts. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data. - Monitor and review financial metrics to align with M& A strategies. - Provide insights and recommendations to optimize acquisition outcomes. - Support the team in addressing key challenges during the acquisition process. Requirements - Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions (M& A) processes and strategies. - Strong knowledge of ledger balance sheet accounts and consolidated balance sheets. - Expertise in conducting financial due diligence and preparing detailed reports. - Proficiency in building and analyzing valuation models. - Ability to develop accurate pro forma projections for business combinations. - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to present complex financial data. - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
