Job Description
Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining smooth operations within our wholesale distribution business. This is a fully on-site position, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify a high volume of accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and other financial documents.
- Collaborate with inventory teams to ensure proper matching of purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, and other financial disbursements.
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accounts payable reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capability to work on-site in Charleston, South Carolina, in a fast-paced environment.
