Job Summary:

Assists the Director of Technology and the Technology Department

Credentials:

High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years' experience as an administrative assistant or IT help desk support.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to work without close supervision.
  • Possess a technical aptitude for performing tasks to resolve customer issues.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work with multiple clients at the same time
  • Must be flexible in adapting to seasonal increased work loads
  • Must be emotionally mature, confidential and work effectively and efficiently.
  • Must have a working knowledge in the use of Excel and Outlook mail.

Physical Demands:

Must have and maintain physical, sensory, emotional and mental abilities necessary for effective communication in person, in writing and by telephone. Must have good memory, be able to organize thoughts and activities and be able to articulate clearly. Must be able to appropriately handle stress.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Greet visitors, answer and triage phone calls and/or emails to ensure efficient and timely responses.
  2. Assist inexperienced or nontechnical end users in resolving issues.
  3. Support the IT team in maintaining work order ticket system.
  4. Work as part of a team to coordinate inventories, device assignments and implementations.
  5. Provide support to end users of various system software.
  6. Maintain technology inventory/workroom.
  7. Assist in enrolling Chromebooks and iPads.

In addition to essential job functions listed above, perform other duties as assigned.

Staff Relationship: Reports directly to the Director of Technology


Terms of employment: Twelve months. Salary and benefits negotiated annually by the Board. Non-exempt.
