Description We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning and business decision-making for a client based in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on building reliable financial models, strengthening forecasting accuracy, and translating complex data into actionable insights for leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, advanced Excel capability, and a solid foundation in budgeting and three-statement analysis. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain integrated three-statement financial models to evaluate performance, risks, and future business scenarios. - Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses to help leaders track results and adjust plans effectively. - Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, explain key drivers, and support strategic recommendations. - Create detailed Excel-based reporting tools, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for management review. - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather assumptions, validate inputs, and improve planning accuracy. - Present clear summaries of findings, financial outlooks, and business implications to senior leadership. - Monitor actual results against budget and forecast targets, highlighting gaps and recommending corrective actions. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline. - Demonstrated experience in a Senior Financial Analyst or comparable financial planning and analysis role. - Strong hands-on expertise in building and reviewing three-statement financial models. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis. - Solid background in budgeting, forecasting, and budget process management. - Ability to interpret financial results and communicate insights clearly to business stakeholders.
