**Construction Safety Specialist** **ZYN Manufacturing Facility - Aurora, CO** **3‑Month Contract | $35-$45/hour + Overtime** We are hiring a hands‑on Construction Safety Specialist to support the ZYN Manufacturing Facility during its largest growth phase. This is a high‑visibility, field‑based role focused on active engagement, real‑time intervention, and injury prevention on a large commercial new‑build project. This is not a desk safety role. If you believe in "see something, do something," this is the site for you. **Project Overview** + **Project:** ZYN Manufacturing Facility + **Location:** Aurora, CO + **Duration:** ~60-90 days (through end of June) + **Site Size:** ~1,000 workers on site + ~700 on day shift + ~300 on night shift + **Safety Team:** Two core safety professionals + this role added due to manpower increase **What You'll Be Doing** You will serve as a **visible, field‑driven safety presence** , spending **~90% of your time in the field** interacting directly with multiple trades. Key responsibilities include: + Maintain a strong on‑site presence to drive a culture of safety + Actively engage crews and reinforce site safety expectations + Identify unsafe behaviors and conditions and **stop work when necessary** + Conduct daily safety walks and field observations + Coach trades in real time using clear, professional communication + Support the Safety Coordinator with incident prevention and documentation + Assist with toolbox talks and safety briefings + Enforce OSHA standards and site‑specific safety rules consistently + Support extended and augmented shifts as project activity increases + Be approachable, visible, and firm in safety enforcement **Required Qualifications (Must‑Have)** + **OSHA 30 Certification (required)** + **Commercial construction safety experience on large new‑build projects** + Minimum **2+ years of field‑based construction safety experience** + Experience working on **high‑manpower sites (500+ workers)** + Strong presence in active jobsite environments with multiple trades + Ability and confidence to **stop work and redirect unsafe behavior** + Excellent communication and professional demeanor + Willingness to work **overtime and flexible schedules** , including nights **Schedule & Pay** + **Pay Rate:** $35-$45/hour (DOE) + **Overtime:** Required and expected + **Shifts:** + Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM + Night Shift: 3:00 PM - 2:00 AM + Schedule may adjust to support peak site activity **Why This Role Stands Out** + Authority to stop work - safety is fully supported on site + High‑visibility role on a major commercial project + Short‑term contract with strong hours and overtime + Work alongside an established safety team during peak construction activity **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, CO. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
