Position Overview

FedSync is seeking a Training Specialist / Supervisor to support administrative personnel at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL.

This role is responsible for leading and managing training initiatives while supervising administrative staff. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on training experience, leadership capability, and a strong understanding of federal or NASA environments.


Key Responsibilities

Training & Development
  • Design, develop, revise, and implement training programs aligned with Statement of Work (SOW) requirements

  • Deliver training using diverse instructional methods (in-person, virtual, self-study, simulations, etc.)

  • Create training manuals, course materials, and online learning modules

  • Provide instruction in:

    • WebTADS (NASA travel system)

    • NASA correspondence standards

    • Grammar, punctuation, and professional writing

    • Export control

    • Team building, mentoring, and customer service

    • SATERN (NASA's training system)

  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and develop measurement tools for continuous improvement

Program Management & Coordination
  • Coordinate all training logistics, including scheduling, enrollment, and classroom setup

  • Collaborate with the Professional Support Team to align training delivery responsibilities

  • Partner with the Program Manager to identify key skill gaps and coordinate quarterly training efforts.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with NASA and MSFC mandatory training requirements

  • Stay current with training technologies and methodologies

Supervision & Leadership
  • Supervise contractor administrative personnel

  • Demonstrate the ability to calmly de-escalate challenging situations, including customer concerns or enployee coaching moments.
  • Assign schedules, enforce work standards, and review performance

  • Communicate organizational goals, policies, and expectations

  • Handle travel arrangements and process travel reimbursement according to GSA Travel guidelines
  • Coach and mentor less-experienced staff

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Monitor training-related costs and resources

  • Coordinate systems, equipment, and course materials

  • Test personnel proficiency in office software applications

  • Analyze and improve workflow processes, documentation systems, and workforce utilization


Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of office experience, including supervisory responsibilities

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred:

  • Prior NASA experience or experience supporting federal agencies
