By looking ahead and experimenting with new approaches, we're creating new educational opportunities to help people thrive in a world of change.   **About the position**    The summer 2026 session of the UWC² Youth and Teen Program (YTP) runs Monday-Friday, June 29 - August 21, 2025.  Approximately 100 youth enrichment classes (mixture of online and in-person) will run over 8 weeks serving approximately 1500 school-aged youth, 4th-12th grades.  This seasonal position begins part-time in late May/early June, transitions to full time in late June and concludes in late August. The YTP Program Assistant works on campus with the UW's summer enrichment program supporting instructors, YTP Directors, students and parents. YTP Program Assistant is responsible for the safety and supervision of youth during daily check in and check out, lunch, classroom breaks, and field trips. The Program Assistant also supports supplies, materials, data management, and technical needs of YTP courses. Prior to hire, the Youth and Teen Programs Assistant is required to demonstrate up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification and complete all compliance training (for example, Safe Interactions with Youth, Reporting Abuse and Neglect, etc.)   This temporary staff position rate starts at: $22.00 **About you** You thrive in a collaborative, dynamic work environment. You work effectively as a member of a team as well as independently. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Functional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: + Assist with establishing and carrying out systems for organizing, inventorying, and daily cleanup and storage of class materials. As well, printing, distributing, collating, and entering data. + Supervise youth during indoor and outdoor breaks, field trips, and daily lunch period. + Assist in taking attendance and checking students in and out of classrooms each day. + Assist in set up and break down of classes; may involve moving materials, tables, chairs. + Conduct/participate in training sessions and staff meetings. + Other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** High school diploma and 6 months of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, to include: + Ability to support YTP program full time, late June through late August + Youth development experience in formal/informal settings (e.g., schools, camps, afterschool programs, etc.) + Ability to multi-task and set daily priorities + Ability to work under pressure + Valid driver's license + Ability to work outdoors and escort students across campus as needed + Ability to move materials to and from classrooms up to 50lbs, using accommodations if needed For these temporary YTP Program Assistant positions, all applicants, including current high school students, will be considered regardless of prior work experience. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** We will consider a variety of personal and professional experiences; however, a successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in most areas of responsibility outlined above. **APPLICATION REQUIREMENT** This recruitment requires a cover letter.
