Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for IT Sr. Technical
Product Engineers in Atlanta,
Georgia.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Work closely with the Commercial Managers, SeniorProduct Managers, and development teams to ensure that the team clearlyunderstands the required functionality to meet market/consumer needs.
+ Collaborate with product, project and developmentstakeholders and teams, gathering requirements, coordinating dependencies, andidentifying risks and opportunities.
+ Conduct research, perform studies to obtain data,and analyze problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledgeof theory, principles, or technology of specialization.
+ Provide business knowledge, including market sizingand segmentation, target customer/user definition, competitive positioning,industry trends, etc.
+ Work closely with the Product Owner on one or moreAgile development teams by translating product inputs into well-definedfunctional requirements and user stories.
+ Lead story grooming sessions or requirementsclarification sessions.
+ Translate product strategy into requirementdocuments, using cases and process flows.
+ Work with the application support and developmentteams to fix software bugs and escalated issues.
+ Write necessary stories to deliver functionality,such as user interaction stories, system integration stories, or API levelstories.
+ Interact with the UX team to understand thecustomer experience, define the features and stories, and translate them toscenarios for development automation testcases.
+ Prioritize, groom, and maintain a healthy backlog.
+ Update and track defects. Document, analyze, andpropose process changes or re-engineering approaches based on an understandingof technical problems and solutions as they relate to current and future statebusiness and technical environments.
+ Represent the needs of the business (interface),including site performance and reliability (operational excellence) andmeasuring the success of functionality (e.g., analytics).
+ Participate in sprint ceremonies and accept thestories to sign off for launch.
+ Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any technical or
scientific field, and 4 years of experience in product management. In the
alternative, will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in any technical or
scientific field, and 1 year of experience in product management.
Must have work experience in:
+ AWS
+ SOAP and REST webservices
+ Agile and iterative development processes utilizingtools including Jira and Version One
+ Deconstructing business needs into technicalrequirements by PEM methods including strategic, planning, executing, andmetrics to draw viable technical solutions
+ Postman and SOAP to analyze and document Rest APIrequirements
+ JSON scripts and the understanding of the API servicesand its usefulness to the product
