Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
+ Manage and coordinate food, drink, and snack ordering services for meetings, conferences, and events across various locations
+ Utilize scheduling tools (e.g., Resource Scheduler), order management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite for event planning and tracking.
+ Communicate and collaborate with meeting organizers, administrative assistants, and external vendors to meet all event food needs.
+ Forecast and recommend budgets related to food and beverage services; monitor actual vs. projected spending.
+ Place and track orders for refreshments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
+ Receive, sort, and organize incoming food and drink shipments, ensuring proper handling, storage, and communication with event holders.
+ Comply with Texas food safety standards and organizational health regulations.
+ Maintain professional communication and service standards throughout all event planning and execution activities.
+ Perform other duties, as assigned, to support the operations and success of meetings and conferences, such as place setting and serving.
Required Skills/Abilities
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Texas State Food Handler Permit required (or must obtain upon hire)
+ 2-3 years of experience in event coordination or food service support
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Experience with scheduling and/or order management software
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
+ Flexible and adaptable to variable work hours and event demands
+ Bilingual in Spanish preferred
