**Job Title: Electrical Assembler** **Job Description** This role focuses on performing electrical assembly on generator packages, switchgear, and control panels in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to complete point-to-point wiring, terminate connections, and conduct continuity testing. You will also read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures, and have the opportunity to learn manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system issues. **Responsibilities** + Perform electrical assembly on generator packages, switchgear, and control panels according to established standards and procedures. + Complete point-to-point wiring and accurately terminate electrical connections. + Utilize hand and power tools, including wire strippers, multimeters, and wire crimpers, to perform assembly and testing tasks. + Conduct continuity testing using a multimeter to verify proper wiring and connections. + Read and interpret work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete assigned tasks correctly and safely. + Assist with wiring control panels, PLCs, relays, generators, and switchgear as needed. + Follow electrical schematics and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and wiring when required. + Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to diagnose engine and control system problems. + Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment in a safe, responsible manner. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience performing point-to-point wiring. + At least 1 year of experience performing continuity testing using a multimeter. + Proficiency using hand and power tools for electrical assembly. + Ability to strip wire safely and efficiently. + Ability to read and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Basic familiarity with electrical assembly practices and safe work habits. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with control panel wiring. + Ability to read and work from electrical schematics. + Experience wiring PLCs and relays. + Experience wiring generators or switchgear. + Comfort using diagnostic or manufacturer-specific software to troubleshoot engine and control system issues. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package once hired directly, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, along with company-paid life insurance and disability insurance for added security. The role operates on a shift schedule, with a first shift from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM and a second shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures while working around electrical equipment and production lines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
