**Job Title:** Digital Content Librarian/ DAM Administrator

**Digital Content Librarian/DAM Administrator**
**Summary / Overview:**
The Digital Content Librarian/DAM Administrator is accountable for day-to-day DAM operations and governance execution, ensuring assets and modular content are accurate, compliant, discoverable, reusable, and activation-ready. This role operationalizes DAM standards, protects the integrity of the content ecosystem, and ensures the DAM remains the single source of truth for digital assets.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Digital Content Librarian/DAM Administrator serves as a thought leader and advocate for best practices in digital asset management. This individual will bring together a cross-functional group of asset managers, content creators, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and identify opportunities to enhance the DAM ecosystem. By championing governance and innovation, this role ensures the DAM supports business goals and evolves with emerging needs.
**Responsibilities:**
**DAM Operations:**
· Manage asset and modular content ingestion, organization, and lifecycle.
· Execute versioning, archival, and retirement processes.
· Ensure the DAM remains the single source of truth for all digital assets.
**Metadata, Taxonomy & Findability:**
· Apply and validate metadata and taxonomy standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
· Ensure assets and modules are properly tagged and easily searchable.
· Identify and remediate duplicated, outdated, or poorly tagged content.
**Modular Content Stewardship:**
· Maintain module and template libraries, ensuring alignment with defined field structures and usage rules.
· Manage version updates to ensure safe reuse across channels.
· Support modular content activation across platforms (e.g., CMS, email, CRM).
**Compliance & Governance:**
· Enforce approval status, expiration dates, and usage restrictions for all assets.
· Support audit readiness and regulatory reviews by maintaining accurate records.
· Prevent expired or restricted content from being activated.
· Create and maintain content author guidelines to ensure compliance and usability.
**Thought Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:**
· Serve as the thought leader for DAM best practices, governance, and operational excellence.
· Bring together a cross-functional group of asset managers, creators, and stakeholders to discuss challenges, share insights, and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and DAM advancements to recommend enhancements.
**Adoption & Continuous Improvement:**
· Support user onboarding, training, and best practices for DAM usage.
· Provide operational feedback to the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and other colleagues to improve processes.
· Monitor content health and adoption metrics.
· Identify opportunities to optimize workflows through automation or process enhancements.
**Key Deliverables:**
· Governed DAM library with accurate metadata and lifecycle status
· Operational playbooks and standards
· Content health and reuse insights
**Minimum Requirements:**
· 3-6+ years of experience in DAM, content operations, or library roles.
· AEM Digital Librarian Professional Certification (or equivalent DAM platform certification).
· Strong attention to detail and governance mindset.
· Proven experience bringing together cross-functional teams or working groups.
· Experience working with marketing, creative, or compliance teams.
· Familiarity with metadata and taxonomy standards.
· Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Analytics).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
· Experience with modular content frameworks or reusable content strategies.
· Certifications in metadata or taxonomy management (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
· Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and copyright considerations.
· Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
