Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist to ensure smooth operations in a busy healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing medical records, verifying patient information, and managing appointment schedules with precision.
Responsibilities
+ Review and prepare all medical records/charts for providers daily, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required testing reports and forms.
+ Verify and update necessary patient demographic information, including name, address, phone, email, date of birth, social security number, pharmacy, referring doctor, primary care doctor, and insurance data in the electronic patient chart (EMR).
+ Review referrals and authorization status, completing them as required.
+ Conduct thorough reviews of insurance status and patient eligibility.
+ Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Medent EMR and front desk operations.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare processes.
+ Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in a medical reception role.
+ Experience in physical therapy or chiropractic settings is a plus.
+ Preferred experience in multi-specialty practices.
+ Self-motivated, flexible, and open to feedback.
Work Environment
The position is set in an office environment located in a business park off Sheridan Rd. The shift is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Employees may earn work-from-home days after demonstrating independent work capabilities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54000.00/yr.
