Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting critical accounting functions. Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support financial reporting processes. - Assist in conducting audit fieldwork for operational and financial audits. - Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met. - Generate financial statements and perform account reconciliations to maintain data integrity. - Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. - Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts to maintain compliance with accounting standards. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure smooth operations. - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash balances. - Process bi-monthly payroll efficiently and accurately. - Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online to manage financial data effectively. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing and analyzing financial data. - Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. - Experience with general ledger accounting and journal entries. - Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reconciliations. - Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online - Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with team members Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
