**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator**
**Job Description:** Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery used in construction, earthmoving, roadwork, and site development projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet project timelines and quality standards.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, graders, rollers, and dump trucks
+ Perform excavation, grading, trenching, lifting, and site preparation activities according to project plans
+ Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site layouts
+ Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication, fueling, and cleaning equipment
+ Assist with general labor tasks as needed on job sites

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related industries (experience level may vary)

+ Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
+ Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation and report maintenance or repair needs
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downey, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
