Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Bookkeeper role for a growing company with offices in Sparks. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Check all vendor invoices and prepare them for processing - Create all direct sales registers - Create debit memos for returns - Develop understanding of CED accounts - Check costing on all special order sales registers - Assist in specified areas of Accounts Receivable such as billing and running credit cards or payment - File records in the appropriate files - Research vendor statements monthly - Sales Register and Cash Sale Receipt Accountability - Control office supplies - Control record retention - Answer telephones MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience and competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Knowledge of general accounting principles - High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality - Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - At least 3 years Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience - Associates degree from two year college or technical school; Bachelors degree The company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and opportunity for growth.
