Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role involves managing invoice processing efficiently and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Responsibilities: - Process and verify invoices, including maintenance invoices, with accuracy and efficiency. - Handle 100-300 invoices weekly, ensuring all payments are completed on time. - Utilize SAP software to manage accounts payable tasks and maintain accurate records. - Code invoices appropriately to ensure compliance with company policies. - Conduct regular check runs to facilitate vendor payments. - Collaborate with team members to address and resolve discrepancies. - Assist in maintaining automated payment systems for ongoing transactions. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational procedures. - Communicate with vendors to clarify payment-related issues as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing. - Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting software. - Strong skills in coding invoices and verifying payment details. - Ability to manage high volumes of invoices weekly with accuracy. - Familiarity with check runs and payment processing. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and vendors. - Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounts payable.
