Job Purpose: The Family Support Specialist will provide Maggie's Place moms with education, advocacy, support, and resources focused on parenting and child development. This position will also be responsible for assisting with child enrichment programs, home visitation, supporting Alumni Moms, program operations at the FSC, and case management. The Family Support Specialist provides support, outreach assistance, crisis management, and ongoing communication. Responsibilities: · Conducts outreach and home visits to locate and engage families · Assists families in identifying goals related to their overall health and self-sufficiency within the structure of a Family Goal Plan · Assists and supports parents in identifying issues related to trauma and/or mental health concerns that may be impacting their ability to parent safely and effectively · Provides basic parenting education (focused on parent-child interaction) and models healthy behaviors and interactions to families in the home and in the community · Provides support along with basic health and life skills instruction, e.g. prenatal care, immunizations, budgeting, etc.; ensures appropriate utilization of needed health and social services · Provides case management, crisis intervention, and connects clients to community resources as needed · Establishes and maintains communication with other involved parties on a regular basis · Facilitates monthly parent groups meetings · Completes all required case file documentation and data entry in a timely and appropriate manner as required by program, HFA standards, and Agency · Provides support for classes and events as needed · Conduct monthly visits to each maternity home to build rapport and foster positive relationships · Attend and actively participate in community nights, providing valuable information on the Alumni Mom Program. · Design, implement, and create engaging activities, events, and educational classes tailored to the needs and interests of the teens within the Maggie's Place community. Ensure that all activities are enriching, safe, and foster personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills. Education/Experience:

Additional Requirements: · Must possess or have regular access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis. · Must possess a valid Arizona driver license and active auto insurance.
