Position Summary:

The Bindery Operator I uses commercial size machines to fold basic to intermediate printed direct marketing mail pieces according to provided specifications while maintaining expected production rates and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sets up, operates, and maintains folder machines according to job specifications with an output of 140,000 to 150,000 2up letters folded within a 12-hour shift.
• Meets established production volume and quality requirements using the checklist provided.
• Sets up basic to intermediate fold formats efficiently to fold all materials according to fold ticket instructions.
• Performs gate adjustments and roller calibrations for each job with little to no assistance.
• Trays materials in ticket order while limiting damage to folded pieces.
• Cleans up the workstation after every job and at the end of every shift by sweeping around the machine, taking out cardboard to the dumpster, emptying trash bins, etc.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• At least 1-2 years' relevant experience
• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of warehouse/production procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving and math skills with the ability to use basic measurement tools

Schedule:

Sunday- Thursday 6:00pm-2:30am
