Position Overview
International Motors is hiring an Industrial Painter - Facilities at our San Antonio location.
In this role, you'll perform industrial painting and coatings work to maintain and improve facility equipment and structures. You'll use spray guns and manual application techniques across a variety of surfaces and materials, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and compliance standards.
This is a 2nd shift position, with hours from 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM. The hourly rate is $20.50/hr.
Responsibilities
Painting & Coatings
+ Perform power washing & other surface prep activities on interior & exterior surfaces
+ Apply industrial coatings, including floor striping, using both spray & manual methods
+ Conduct paint application at heights using lifts or ladders
+ Select appropriate paints, coatings, & supplies based on surfaces & requirements
Equipment & Maintenance
+ Maintain painting equipment and tools in proper working order
+ Report malfunctions and escalate issues as needed
+ Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts
+ Perform minor drywall and building repairs
Safety & Compliance
+ Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
+ Comply with OSHA and HazMat procedures for storage and handling of materials
+ Wear and maintain required PPE, including respirators when necessary
+ Ensure all work aligns with company and regulatory safety standards
Planning & Efficiency
+ Estimate project timelines and plan accordingly
+ Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and efficiency
+ Support projects and maintenance activities on occasional weekends or non-production days
Minimum Requirements
+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. + Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):
+ Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
+ Climb using both legs and arms
+ Head/neck movement
+ Reach outward or above the shoulder
+ Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
+ Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
+ Repetitive use of hands and fingers
+ Use of vibrating tools
+ Depth perception required
+ Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
+ Ability to work at heights
+ Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
+ May be required to wear a respirator and must comply with OSHA requirements for performing the job including 29 CFR section 1910.134 which requires a respirator fit test, the satisfactory completion of a questionnaire and, if necessary, respiratory medical evaluation in connection with the use of a respirator
Desired Skills
+ 2+ years of professional painting experience
+ Prior experience operating paint spray gun
+ Demonstrated knowledge in various paint application techniques and the selection of appropriate paint types for diverse materials and surfaces
